The Office of Agricultural Affairs at the U.S. Embassy in Rome and Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute‘s Italy representatives organized a first-time Alaska Seafood Culinary Experience at the restaurant Chic’n Quick in Milan, featuring Italian starred chef Claudio Sadler and U.S. celebrity chef Marc Murphy. Italy’s leading seafood importers, food retailers, restaurateurs, hoteliers, journalists, and food bloggers tasted a four hands menu created ad hoc by the two chefs to raise awareness about the quality, variety, and value of Alaska seafood. The United States exported $63.1 million worth of seafood to Italy in 2021.
