Sam Registration
The System for Award Management (SAM) is the official site for registering to do business with the federal government.
Any contractor or entity who wishes to do business with the federal government must be registered in the SAM Database at https://www.sam.gov prior to submitting an OFFER pursuant to FAR provision 52.204-7 for any type of contract valued at or above $30,000. Prospective offerors are encouraged to register prior to submitting quotations/proposals.
Registration on this site is FREE.
A NATO Commercial and Government Entity (NCAGE) Code is required to register in SAM. Instructions for how to obtain the NCAGE code are available at Request New NCAGE code (nato.int). It may take up to 3 business days to obtain the NCAGE code.
Once registered in the SAM database, a new unique entity identifier number (UEI) will be issued. This will streamline the entity identification and validation process for the government.
