In order to be awarded Purchase Orders at or above US $3,500.00, Contractors are required to get a DUNS number.  A DUNS number is a unique 9-digit identifier issued and maintained by Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) that verifies the existence of a business entity globally. D&B assigns DUNS numbers for each physical location of a business.  All government contractors globally can receive a DUNS number at no charge and, under normal circumstances, within 24-72 hours when using the D&B web form process (http://fedgov.dnb.com/webform) or by calling D&B in the United States at +1-866-785-0428.

In order to be awarded contracts at or above US$30,000.00, Contractors are required to register in the System for Award Management (SAM).  Please note that in order to register in SAM you need to first obtain a DUNS number and a NATO CAGE Code.  To find out more about obtaining a NATO CAGE CODE (NATO Commercial and Government Entity code) and SAM Registration (System for Award Management), please check this .pdf file for more information.  Please understand that these requests can take from a few days to several weeks to process. 191T7018Q0046 – Chancery Lighting Systems – The U.S. Embassy in Rome has a requirement for the upgrade of the lighting systems on the Autrium and Entrance area of the Chancery building. This service is estimated at between $25,000 and $100,000.  Award will be made to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offeror.  Please note this solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date.  The solicitation will be launched as soon as ready, o/a July 2018. Please note that in order to be eligible for a US Government award, SAM registration is required pursuant to FAR provision 5.207 (see above page).  Prospective offerors are encouraged to register prior to the submittal of offers.

191T7018Q0045 – Residential Internet Services – The US Tri-Mission in Rome, Italy has a requirement for residential internet support to be provided to its American Officers. Services will consist mainly but not only of establishment, management and cancellation of accounts (with local internet service providers), troubleshooting and onsite technical assistance in total compliance with all federal, state and local regulations. The Contractor shall have at least 10 years of experience and expertise in all essential IT services and functions. The Contractor and the staff must be able to speak and translate from Italian to English and vice versa. Anticipated performance is for one year and four 1-year renewal periods at the option of the U.S. Government. Number of American Officers estimated to be served in one year: 200. These requirements may change in forthcoming periods. Please note this solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date. It will be launched as soon as ready, during the month of July 2018. Award will be made to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offeror. All responsible sources may submit an offer that shall be considered.

191T7018R0001 – HVAC Maintenance Services – Rome, Italy – This is to inform all prospective offerors that subject solicitation has been posted at www.fbo.gov – Please note that one of the requisites is that the Contractor shall maintain a permanent office withing an average time frame of no more than 2 hour drive from the Tri-Mission compound.

Name of participants to the site survey/conference shall be sent to RomeGSO-AcquisitionsDL@state.gov NO LATER THAN May 15, 2018.

191T52018R0001 – Painting Services Milan – Please note this solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date.

The solicitation covers painting services for the US Consulate in Milan, Italy.  The Contractor shall furnish equipment as well as managerial, administrative, and direct labor personnel to perform all services as required in the contract. These requirements may change depending on funding availability in forthcoming periods. Anticipated performance is for one base period and four one-year periods at the option of the U.S. Government. Total estimated number of apartments 12/15 units to be painted yearly.  All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered. The Government plans to issue the solicitation January 2018.
