On July 28, Charge d’Affaires Thomas Smitham hosted an event in honor of American actor Harvey Keitel who was in Italy as Honorary President of the Filming Italy Sardinia Festival. CDA Smitham gave remarks expressing solidarity with the people of Sardinia who are suffering from devastating fires. The CDA also highlighted the power of culture and the arts to unite people, as well as the strong bilateral cooperation between Italy and the United States in this area.
