Ceremony for the donation of medical equipment to the Policlinico Umberto I Hospital in Rome

On Tuesday, April 27, CdA Thomas Smitham participated in a ceremony at the Emergency Medicine Unit at Policlinico Umberto I for the donation of medical equipment worth approximately 259 thousand euro.   The donation to the Policlinico Umberto I’s ICU consisted of 10 tilting beds, with integrated scales and anti-decubitus mattresses; 10 central multi-parameter monitors, equipped with an additional transport monitor and 1 central monitoring unit (associated with 5 repeater monitors) that allows the control of patients’ vital parameters, for a minimum of 72 hours, in the different areas of the ICU unit. This latest donation completes the U.S. government’s assistance package to Italy, worth a total of $60 million, to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
