The U.S. Mission to Italy champions the important work being done in the field of American Studies and proudly sponsors the American Studies Initiative, which provides new adjunct professorships at selected Italian universities, and the American Voices program, which sends American professors to Italian universities to lecture on American-centric topics, and the Mission Speaker Bureau, which sends U.S. Mission personnel to high schools and universities all over Italy. Through these programs and others, we support the expansion and popularity of American Studies offerings at Italian educational institutions and promote widespread interest in various aspects in this field.
In collaboration with the organizations and universities highlighted here, this page showcases an exciting array of publications and events related to the study of American history, literature and society and provides links to important resources for students, teachers and professors.
