The Office of Agricultural Affairs at the U.S. Embassy in Rome organized a Pasta Cooking Presentation in honor of the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue to raise awareness about the quality and value of U.S. durum wheat. The presentation highlighted the various levels of protein that impact the color, texture, and consistency of pasta using three types of pasta paired with three sauces. This promotional event targeted Italy’s importers of U.S. foodstuffs, agricultural researchers, food bloggers, and journalists. The U.S. Embassy would like to thank Italy’s celebrity Chef Antonello Riva for the execution of the cooking presentation, the U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF), Giraudi Group, and Italian Global Solution for their support of this project.
