U.S. Beef Promoted to the Food Service Industry

USMEF Beef Event Monte Carlo

September 18, 2017

The Offices of Agricultural Affairs of the U.S. Embassies in Rome and Paris with the support of the U. S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF), organized a first time multi country event at the Beefbar in Monte Carlo featuring different cuts of U.S. high-quality beef for a discerning market. Italy, France and Monaco have been identified as the most promising European markets for U.S. beef in terms of population and consumption patterns at the high-end of the market and the number of restaurants and retailers wanting the best, highest-value products.

USMEF is also working to raise awareness of U.S. beef in the foodservice sector with a focus on chefs.  In 2014, USMEF launched a European Facebook page (The Marbled Meat Club) featuring U.S. beef as a high-quality product and adding cooking and wine pairing tips.

The U.S. Embassy would like to thank the entire Giraudi Group team for their support of this project, Chefs Thierry Paludetto and Thomas Frisetti for the execution of the dinner and Estates & Wines, the Moët-Hennessy Wine Division, and Newton UF Chardonnay 2014 and SV Mount Veeder 2014 for wine pairing.
