  • Emergency passport services will be available from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Monday through Friday on a walk-in basis.
  • Non-Emergency Services (e.g. renewal of U.S. passports, Consular Reports of Birth Abroad and notarials) by appointment only will be reduced and this may result in some disruptions and delays. If an appointment is not available in Rome,  please consider scheduling an appointment at any of our other Consulates General in Milan, Florence or Naples.

Please Note: Citizens with lost or stolen passports MUST go in person to apply for a same-day emergency passport at one of the following Consulates General in Italy: Rome, Milan, Florence or Naples. Consular Agencies in Genoa, Palermo, and Venice are unable to accept or process emergency passport requests.
